ALTINKUM Meaning "Golden Sands" in Turkish. The resort of Altinkum offers lots for all of its visitors. Three stunning beaches, watersports, diving, excellent shopping, markets and much more. . Dolphin square is the main centre of Altinkum and from here you will see there are restaurants galore that offer a wide range of superb cuisine most of them specializing in local delicacies. (A must try is the "Testi Kebab" cooked in a earthen ware pot and comes out flaming!!) No need for taxi's or hire cars as most (if not all) restaurants offer a pick up & take home service. If you fancy a lively night on the town you will find all you need from here as there are bars aplenty!!!!
Taffys Boat moored for lunch From the harbourside why not take a boat trip for a day. They really are great and you will get to see first hand how stunning the coastline is. We recommend "Taffys"!!! You will not be disappointed. Altinkum also boasts Apollos Temple a must see ruin which is only 20 minute walk from the apartment. EXCURSIONS There are many excursions to go on in and around Altinkum. There are jeep safaris, horse safaris, diving, boat trips, day trips to places of interest like the world famous Ephesus (which is a definate must!!!) ALL of these can be booked through These guys also hire cars so if you want to drive to these places of interest just organise it through Maxi Tours. |
